PUMS representatives visited AMADEUS International School Vienna to officially mark the beginning of a new partnership between our institutions.
AMADEUS Vienna is a unique international educational environment and Austria’s only English-language boarding school, bringing together students from many countries and combining an international academic curriculum with a strong residential and multicultural experience.
The PUMS delegation included Prof. Joanna Budna-Tukan, Prof. Nadia Sawicka-Gutaj, Prof. Karolina Gerreth, and Prof. Łukasz Gąsiorowski, representing the leadership of the Center for Medical Education in English.
During the visit, we formally presented the Memorandum of Understanding between PUMS and AMADEUS Vienna and discussed several areas of future cooperation. These will include:
- recruitment of prospective medical and dental students from Austria and the international AMADEUS community,
- international educational exchange and joint academic initiatives,
- participation of AMADEUS students in the PUMS Pre-Medical Summer Program,
- dedicated information sessions and webinars for students and parents,
- and, importantly, the organization of PUMS admission interviews on-site at AMADEUS International School Vienna, allowing candidates to complete part of the admissions process directly in Vienna.
Seeing the campus in person and learning more about the School’s international community gave us an excellent perspective on how our institutions can work together to create a clear pathway for talented students considering medical education in Poland.
For PUMS, this partnership is also an important step in strengthening our recruitment presence in Austria and the wider German-speaking region, while offering students direct access to information, guidance and admission opportunities.
We are very grateful to the AMADEUS Vienna leadership team for their warm welcome, hospitality and excellent discussions. We look forward to developing this cooperation and to welcoming AMADEUS students and representatives to Poznań in the near future.
